Willie Rennie campaigning for Dunfermline and West Fife

A Fifer born and bred, Willie Rennie lives in Kelty with his wife Janet and their two young sons, Alexander and Stephen. Willie grew up in Strathmiglo, where his family ran the village shop and still continue to live today. His grandfather was the local Minister and his mother was secretary of the local community association.

Willie went to college in Paisley where he studied biology and prior to becoming the MP for Dunfermline and West Fife, worked for a small Scottish communications firm helping advise charities and businesses including the Royal Society of Chemistry and Asthma UK.

Willie is a keen runner and is a member of Dunfermline's Carnegie Harriers. Whilst his free-time is now more limited, he still runs and competes in some of the local competitions such as the Dunfermline Half Marathon and he was runner-up in the Scottish Coal-Carrying Championships.

Willie is Shadow Defence Minister for the Liberal Democrats in Westminster and is also the chair of Parliamentary Campaigns for the party.
