Willie Rennie focused on the revival of the Crombie Defence Munitions Centre in his first major speech since being appointed to the Liberal Democrat defence team.
Speaking at the Scottish Liberal Democrat Conference in Aviemore at the weekend, he condemned the decision to downgrade DMC Crombie as "utter folly":
"It not only means the loss of the skilled workforce but also increased munitions shipments transported on our roads. I want reassurances from the MOD that it will not affect future contracts at Rosyth Dockyard."
On his return to Westminster, Willie Rennie tabled questions to the Secretary of State for Defence about the future of defence work in Rosyth.
